Bolero Beachwear DD+ Amour Maxi Dress.

As anyone with a larger bust knows, it’s a real challenge to find clothing that fits and flatters.  Dresses can be especially difficult if your bust to waist ratio is of the more hourglass variety.  To the rescue is Bolero Beachwear!  They make adorable clothing that is made to fit and flatter the DD+ woman.

Today I’m excited to share my review of the Amour Maxi.  I was generously sent this dress for review but all opinions are my own. We recently featured this wonderful company and it’s creator, Patricia McCaw in one of our retailer spotlights here and my fellow blogger Jelz reviewed the cute and flirty hanky dress here.

Lets get down to the details!  The Amour Maxi is described on the Bolero site:

“Cross-over top with the right coverage, no pins needed. V-neck, short sleeves at the right length to cover under arms, lined back top, very flowing skirt to free your hips and the belt will accentuate your hourglass figure.  The soft mix of 90% Poly-10% Spandex makes this a must-have dress for your travels. Easy-care, wrinkle-resistant and sturdy material, no thin, t-shirt material here.”img_0183

I love the cross over top that fits like a glove.  It gives a very flattering neckline without being too revealing.  I could move freely, bend over, etc. and there were no worries of anything falling open.  The red belt, which also comes in royal blue is completely separate and ties to adjust for size.  I tied mine in the back, but the Bolero site pictures it tied on the side.  bolero3

The material is stretchy but of a very nice weight, not too thin or sheer.  The wrinkle free feature is great, and I can definitely attest to it!

I wear a size 14 in almost everything, and the dress in Large fit perfect.  The length is very nice on my 5″9 frame as well, perfect for flats or wedges like I paired it with here.  Note that dress length can be customized upon request by emailing Bolero.

This dress would be perfect for work but the stretchy fabric certainly makes it comfortable enough to wear casually.  I personally live in dresses in the warm weather seasons, and this will surely be a wardrobe staple.

I can highly recommend this dress and Bolero as a whole.  Patricia is a gem and is very willing to help with sizing or any other questions.  She is clearly passionate about what she does, and it shows!  Go check out the Bolero site and when you find something you have to have use code ENHANCED15 when you place an order to enjoy 15% off!   Bolero Beachwear dresses can be purchased online through the Bolero website HERE or at select retailers.  Don’t forget to like Bolero’s Facebook page as well so you can keep abreast 🙂 of new styles and info!

Lilly & Lime – A DD+ Bikini Dream

Screenshot 2016-07-04 at 4.37.07 PM

Anyone who knows me, knows I do NOT wear bikinis.  After my first baby turned my stomach into a soggy roadmap 12 years ago, it was one pieces; or for a short stint, the dreaded “Mom Tankini” from then on out.  I even blogged about my penchant for sexy one piece suits here.  So when Aussie bikini makers Lilly & Lime contacted us about reviewing their suits, my first reaction was “You girls can take this one, I’ll pass.”  However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that there are many women out there that don’t love they way they look in a bikini, and maybe they might want to see what these suits look like on a soggy road map!  Ok, probably not, but they might want to know how it works on someone with a few flaws.  With that in mind, I give you a review of this beautiful and functional bikini designed with the D+ cup size woman in mind.

As stated earlier, Lilly & Lime is based in Australia but they ship worldwide.  The bikinis come in 3 different cup sizes:  Full cup, Halter and Balconette.  The bottoms come in Full Brief, Basic Brief and Hipster tie.  The set that was chosen for me included a Balconette top and Full Brief bottom in black.

2 3

These suits are very well constructed out of high quality fabric.  They are not cheap, but in my opinion, the price reflects the quality very well.  This is a suit I can imagine I will be able to wear year after year.  The styles are classic and the construction certainly seems like it will hold up well.  They are sent in an adorable fabric tote bag that my daughter loves to use, and I have to chuckle at her carrying around a bag that proudly states “Swimwear for D-Cup and Up.” 1

For size comparison, I wear an 80GG in Ewa Michalak, and a 36FF in Freya.  I was originally sent a 36G and it was very small in the cup, so they very generously exchanged it for a 36GG, which fit great.

I will say I think the band runs a bit big, and after wearing it all day, I thought I probably should’ve gotten a 34, especially since I prefer to wear the balconette top strapless. I typically wear a US pant size 14, so they sent me the bottoms in a AU 18 (gotta love that size conversion 😦 )  The bottoms fit perfect and the Full Brief style has a waistband that can be folded down.  The waistband is great, because it doesn’t dig into my bread dough…I mean stomach.  and I like having the flexibility in ways to wear it.  I also think the little LL emblems on the suit are a really cute accent.

All in all, I have to say Lilly & Lime knocked it out of the park.  These suits are beautiful and functional and I would purchase one without hesitation.

Ewa Michalak BM Tajemniczy Ogród – Romance in the ‘Secret Garden’

My love affair with Ewa Michalak began as soon as I was cleared to wear wired bras after my surgery and it was  the stuff of well fitting bra dreams!  As a true Polish bra junkie, I don’t just check her site, but also follow her Instagram.  When I saw teaser pictures of her new collection that included this floral beauty, I quickly alerted the rest of the AEE team and we all started plotting our future orders.  The BM style was one I hadn’t tried and to be honest, it didn’t tempt me as much as the other styles.  The BM Tajemniczy Ogród however, is a whole different story.

Translated to mean ‘Secret Garden,’ this style is a beautiful floral print accented with soft pink lace and tulle.  It has such a fairytale romance feel to it, reminding me of the classic novel by the same name.  I always loved that whimsical story and I knew this was the one BM style I needed in my life.  The unlined cups are constructed of a satiny floral fabric printed with flowers in dusty pinks and purples.  The tops of the cups feature a soft pink stretch tulle that is forgiving to asymmetrical breasts. IMG_7788

A note on fit:  The BM style is known to run on the bigger side, and although I ordered this one in an 80GG, a full cup size smaller than my usual 80H, it’s sadly still too big in the cups.  So, I would order this in at least 1 cup down, depending on how you run in Ewa bra sizes.  I am what I would consider an 80GG1/2.  In the Padded styles, the H is best, but even my 80H SM styles are a tad roomy.  Personally, I’d rather have that bit of roominess instead of potentially having the wires digging in, so I will stick with them, but If I order another BM I will probably size down 2 cups.  I imagine the stretch fabric at the top of all BM bras will accommodate that nicely.  For another opinion on the BM style, check out my fellow blogger Yoomee’s review of the BM Naomi hereIMG_7787

As always, I ordered the matching thong in a size 42 and it is just exquisite.  The sides and back are made of a double layer of that pink stretch tulle with cute pink bows accenting the front and back.  As with all of my Ewa Michalak thongs, it is so well constructed and comfortable.

At the moment, this beautiful romantic bra is on sale for 30 PLN off the original price.  I don’t know how long that will last, so I’d suggest you snag yours fast!

Feeling Fab in Lilly & Lime!

Screenshot 2016-07-04 at 4.37.07 PM

Something I didn’t realize when deciding to get larger implants was how it would affect swim suit shopping.  It’s truly a pain!!  I was already wearing my proper fitting bras but when wearing swimwear you are very exposed and there’s always a chance of something showing that you would rather keep covered.  Showing off copious amounts of cleavage can be a bit awkward in public, especially when I’m with my 2 youngest kiddos and they are boys!  Suffice to say it’s been a struggle trying to find a cute and modest swim top as I prefer bikinis and triangle tops are much too revealing unless I’m staying in my own pool and not allowing visitors.  I have also struggled with very, very close set breasts so I was doubtful that anything other than a low plunge would work.  In fact, at first I told my fellow bloggers that I shouldn’t even try the suit for fear of it not working for my shape but boy am I glad I did after all (hint…I love it!).   I was kindly gifted the Stripe Balconette and the matching Stripe Hipster Tie Bottom by Lilly and Lime, a new Australian based swimwear company specializing in swimwear for D cup and up.  I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my package to find a very cute tote with my bikini inside, a special touch by the company that stood out to me.  I was even happier once I tried on my suit and my doubts soon faded as I finally found a modest and super cute bikini top that I can proudly wear in public.

lillylime3

I was sent the Stripe Balconette style in a 30GG which is my UK size and it’s the size I usually wear in Ewa Michalak unlined styles as well (this might help my fellow Polish bra junkies out there..wink…wink!).  The Balconette is the only style that has the option to be worn with or without straps which are fully adjustable.  For fun you could even cross the straps in the back!  As for fit…The band has a plastic clasp closure and is rather loose so I would definitely prefer a 28H so I could safely and securely wear it as the strapless option to avoid those extra tan lines.  The cups fit almost perfectly with nice projection and I would say they are comparable to my other 30GG bras but I would prefer the wires to be just a bit narrower.  The cups are lined with foam and there are no removable pads making it a stiff fit at first but the longer I had the top on the more it molded to my breasts and I must add that when the top is wet it kept it’s shape nicely.  I’m  also happy to report that my breasts were nicely separated  and the gore was actually comfortable!  This really shocked me as I have a very difficult time with high gores and this one is pretty wide too …good thing I didn’t judge it until I tried it 🙂  The wires are on the softer side so that probably contributes to the comfort, a huge bonus since that’s just as important as being cute for me.  As for support, I can’t accurately comment since the band is too loose for me to properly judge.  The bottoms are very cheeky for me;  I received a size 12 in the Stripe Hipster Tie bottom,  I usually wear a large or size 8 in US sizes.

lillylime9

I am an older mom of four and I nervously told my fellow bloggers that I didn’t think there was any way on Earth I could wear these cheeky bottoms after seeing pictures of other,  much younger girls in them.  Guess what …shocked again,  they look pretty decent and the ties are just the right fun touch.  I would still prefer more coverage in public and definitely in the waves but for floating in my pool they are perfect.  The fabric is very high quality, nicely lined and there’s a very cute Lilly and Lime signature metal tag detail that I love!  The stripes are a vibrant purple/blue shade and white…very hip and fun and for a twist this pattern would look super cute interchanged with either the Nectarine top or bottom.

lillylime4

Overall I am ecstatic about this new suit,  I feel young and confident in it…nothing could be better then that right?!  I look forward to more from Lilly and Lime!  There aren’t many larger cup options in swimwear so I am thrilled to find this new choice…super cute vibrant prints and high quality!  A huge Thanks to Lilly and Lime for this beautiful bikini!  My Stripe Bikini was graciously provided for review by Lilly and Lime.  All opinions are my own. Peace! 🙂

Swimwear That’s Not Minus Sized?

I fall into a size category that I find incredibly frustrating at times.  At 5’9, pants are flood ready, sleeves are closer to 3/4 length and tops can easily show off my navel.  Sometimes I get lucky finding things that are long enough, and sometimes brands will carry a sliver of a ‘tall’ selection.

My biggest frustration lately is swimwear.  One piece suits are almost always too short, making them so high cut, I look like I’m auditioning for a Whitesnake video.tawny

Before I had augmentation surgery, I could usually just hike and tug a suit to land somewhere between Tawny Kitaen and JLO at the 2000 Grammys.  JLONowadays, I have boobs that can and will fall out of something too low cut.   “Just wear a bikini!” you say.  Well, although I’m tall enough to be a runway model, I wear a US size 14 and I’ve had 3 children.  So, I haven’t felt comfortable in a 2 piece since 2003.  There are, of course lots of stores that carry ‘Plus sized’ swimwear, but I’m on the very low end of that spectrum, and I don’t think I should have to wear something that my Nana would think was “precious.”

While recently preparing for a beach trip with my husband, I made it my mission to find a few options that I would feel comfortable AND sexy in.  I bought and returned several suits from various online retailers, but I did manage to find a few very cute options!

First up is the Scarf City Push Up One Piece from Kenneth Cole.  It’s not available from the retailer I bought it from, but I did find one here.  It is a bit low cut and won’t work for everyone, but I love this style and find it sexy without being too revealing.  The fabric is just firm enough to feel supported and will give some tummy control without feeling constricting.  It ties behind the neck in a halter style and has what I would consider pretty full bum coverage. I ordered this in an XL.KC

Another option I found is, gasp! a 2 piece!  I recently ordered the St. Tropez bikini from Ewa Michalak reviewed in detail by our own Jelz here.  Sadly the bottoms just weren’t for me, but the top in 85G fits great and looks very cute in my opinion with the bottoms that I got as part of a set at Unique Vintage.  The top in the Monroe bikini set was too small, but the bottoms are great, as they don’t cut into my waist at all.  I got these in XL also and the fit is exactly right. They have ruching all along the front which hides a multitude of sins, and also a full coverage bum.  I highly recommend Unique Vintage if you like the retro style and are an easier fit in the bust.

ST

Last but not least is an option that not everyone would  be comfortable with, and if I were anywhere but on vacation with my husband, I wouldn’t either.  It’s the Color block Plunge One Piece from Victoria’s Secret.  It’s not currently available, but it has been sold out and back on the site a couple of times, so if you love it, keep checking the availability.  I ordered a large, which is usually perfect from VS but this suit runs much smaller than any other suit I’ve owned from them.  I think it’s because the fabric has very little stretch.  It’s a bit revealing and racy, but I love it.  The front has a very deep plunge, partly because it’s actually a bit short for my torso and on me, it shows quite a bit of sideboob.  The back is a low plunge with very cheeky bum coverage.

FullSizeRender

Three new suits that I actually like is a huge score for me, and it gives me hope that I can find more options for my seemingly impossible proportions!  If you have any recommendations for your favorite brands, styles or retailers, share them!  Us Amazons need all the help we can get!

Comexim’s Garden of Eden

As any busty girl knows, finding a swimsuit that fits properly can be quite a struggle.  And then to find one that’s pretty as well?  Forget about it!  Prior to my “upgrade” a year ago, my 30DD boobs could fit into pretty much any suit I wanted (triangle and bandeau tops being my favorite 😉 ).  But once I had 30GG/H boobs, I found that swimsuit shopping became so frustrating that I didn’t even enjoy it.  Bandeau tops made me feel like my boobs were falling out the bottom, and triangle tops kind of fit, but aren’t very appropriate (or supportive) for a day at the pool with my kiddos.  So I was super excited when I found out that one of my favorite Polish bra companies, Comexim also made swimwear!

image1 (30)
Courtesy of Comexim’s Facebook page

I started doing some research on Comexim suits last year, but to be honest I was in the middle of building up my bra collection and couldn’t bring myself to spend any of my limited bra funds on a suit quite yet.  Additionally, by the time I became serious about purchasing one it was already late summer/early fall and I figured by the time I got it, snow would be on the ground!  So I decided to wait until this year to make my first swimsuit purchase.  I checked out the Comexim site, and though I loved Pin Up Girl I was really hoping to get a new design for the new season, so I decided to wait and see what they would come out with.  And then there it was…in a Facebook post on Comexim’s page showing a model in a white bikini with a gorgeous floral pattern!

image1 (32)

From the moment I saw it, I was pretty much hooked and knew this was the suit I had been waiting for!  Now for the waiting game…checking Facebook and the Comexim site constantly, waiting for it to be released…waiting…and waiting…and waiting.  By the beginning of March I was getting frantic.  I knew that if I wanted a swimsuit before pool season, I needed to order it pronto.  Typically I’d just email Anna, the owner of Comexim and ask her (she is super sweet, and is always happy to answer questions), but since I was already in contact with Jaimie at Bra Obsessed, I decided to ask her.  Like a kick in the gut, Jaimie delivered the tragic news that Comexim had decided not to release this suit.  I was crushed.  As if Jaimie could literally see my heart breaking all the way from Canada, within hours she emailed me back and said that she spoke with Anna and though the suit would not be released on the Comexim site, she did have a limited amount of fabric left and would be happy to make me one!  Talk about turning a frown upside down 🙂  And as the flowers started to bloom and spring arrived, so did my gorgeous Garden of Eden!

image1 (31)

As I had mentioned earlier, I have never owned a Comexim suit before so I can’t speak for the design or details of previous suits in her collection.  But what I can say is that I was seriously impressed with this suit!  I was a little nervous that since this was a suit made by a company that primarily made bras, that the suit might look more like a bra than swimwear but it was not the case at all.  I purchased Garden of Eden in size 65J (my typical Comexim bra size) and I will say that is very true to size.  The material is very light weight and thin, but not see-through at all; and all of the details on it are on point.  The top is composed of a three-part cup that is lightly lined and the material gathers delicately towards the gore where a pretty lime green bow sits. The straps are adjustable with silver fixtures that match the silver clasp in the back.  Unlike their bras, the band is not adjustable so I would suggest going with a snugger band (since it will stretch a bit when wet as well).  The floral pattern looks very much like a water color painting, with beautiful bright and colorful flowers painted over a white canvas.

image2 (17)

For those who don’t like “matchy” suits, you could always buy your swimsuit bottom separately in either solid white or in any of the other numerous colors that are on the top.  But I decided to go for the whole enchilada and order the matching bottoms as well.  In my experience, Comexim bottoms typically run on the small side so although I wear size small, I always order a medium from Comexim.  The bottoms are in a standard bikini bottom style with white circle accents on each side that hold the front and back together.  I think they are beautiful but my one critique is that I wish the circles were in the same silver as the fixtures on the top, as I think it would tie the two pieces together better.

image1 (33)

Overall I am super impressed with my first Comexim swimsuit and am excited to purchase more!  The details, quality and craftsmanship are top notch.  To date I am only aware of a few Garden of Edens that have been purchased and have been told by Anna at Comexim that she is not sure how many more she would be able to make, since the fabric is very limited.  If you would like to try to get your hands on one, you can either email Anna directly at sklep@comexim.pl or by contacting Jaimie at Bra Obsessed.  Also, if you are unable to purchase Garden of Eden, or if you want to try a different Comexim suit for yourself, Bra Obsessed is currently offering three exclusive Comexim swimsuits shown below.  Please note: The black top will be in a plunge (and not the half cup shown in this photo) and the bottoms will be available in a cheeky thong or a full bottom.

Thank you for reading and I hope you can all enjoy this upcoming summer with a beautiful and well-fitting swimsuit!

Comexim-Rose Long Line

2016-13-3--16-54-22

I know it has been awhile since you have heard from us, and for that I apologize. Life happened, for a lot of us, but we are back, and promise to get back to posting regularly. 🙂

I am in love. I may or may not have said this about a few other bras that I have. Who am I kidding? If I have written about it, chances are, I am in love. 😉 But this one. Ahhh. This one is stunning. The Rose Long Line by Comexim. As usual, pictures do not do this bra justice. The black base, with the soft floral pattern are perfection. The fabric itself is very soft, and at first glance, is reminiscent of corduroy. Not the thickness, but the soft ridged texture. It is not textured enough to show under clothes, but adds enough to the fabric to really make it stand it out as not your “every day” bra.

  2016-13-3--16-47-26                                                  2016-13-3--16-50-13

The roses are soft shades of a deep pink, mid tone and light pinks, with various shades of green leaves. There are also shades of yellow, gray, white and blue.

The lines that come up through the fabric are a shimmery black and reflect the color that lies underneath. If the strip is over black, it reflects back. If it is over pink or green, it reflects those shades as well, further adding to the luxuriousness that is the Rose Long Line.

2016-13-3--16-49-17

There is a black bow accent at the gore, and lining the tops of the cups are two pieces of black elastic, with the sheerest black mesh like material connecting the two. A panel of the floral print extends to the bottom of the band, down the center of the bra.

2016-13-3--16-48-12

The back of the bra is solid black, as are the fully adjustable straps, that extends to meet the floral print in the front. There are three rows of 5 hook and eye closures. Mine is constructed of three-part half cups, allowing for the projection that I need. Rose is beyond comfortable, and extremely supportive, offering a delicate rounded lift.  The inside of  the bra is lined with black cotton.

2016-13-3--16-51-23

This bra is so gorgeous that I am trying to come up with ways to wear it so that is can be seen, without looking like I am trying to show off my bra. Any suggestions? I’m thinking a black button up, not buttoned all the way with a black pencil skirt. Yes, I think that could work 🙂 Rose sells for 160,00 zl on Comexim’s website. This is definitely one that you should consider adding to your collection if you haven’t already. Tell Anna that Tanzilove from An Enhanced Experience sent you. 😉

Farewell to Anna Pardal-Sabine Long Line- As Elegant As It Gets

Sabine LL 36GG Doyenne HC

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I am writing this review today. Honestly, I had started this post a few weeks ago when I first received my Anna Pardal order. Due to personal reasons, I had to step away from it for a bit. And now, I am ready to post it, and have received the sad news this morning that Anna of Anna Pardal is closing her business. Originally, this review contained information about Anna Pardal the company, how they operate, Anna moving her company to Poland to be closer to her manufacturer, Comexim, and how much she cares for her customers and making sure that they have a wonderful, gorgeous, properly fitting bra. It discussed the ups and downs that Anna herself had mentioned in her newsletter. The ups and downs no longer matter. What does matter is that Anna Pardal was a company known for their high end fabrics, stunning designs, and sweet, caring, eloquently spoken creator, Anna.

So, on to the review. I am in LOVE with this bra. It is the Sabine Doyenne Half Cup, Long Line. Yep, all of that. With Anna Pardal, you were able to customize to your hearts’ content. I requested pocket inserts for cookies and the straps moved in 2 cm. I tend to get some gaping of the material at each side of the gore in Anna Pardal and Comexim styles, so I request that the material be reduced there as well. I wish that I was lucky enough to be able to order everything standard. It would make my life so much easier! If you didn’t know already, the talented Anna of Comexim provided the manufacturing of Anna Pardal styles. The 2 Anna’s worked well together and have created some amazing pieces.

2016-09-1--15-33-46

Anna describes the Doyenne Half cup as:

With a low profile and a wider wire base, the Doyenne offers a new take on sophisticated sensuality.  The cup provides support from below, a wonderful option for a more spacious decolletage, and intelligent pattern adjustments are incorporated throughout the size range. Relative to the Classic Plunge, we bring the straps closer in on G+ cups. For 28 to 32 bands we reduce the center gore, and for 38+ bands we raise the gore.

Doyenne Half-Cup is available in either a standard or longline shape and with any of our fabrics.”

From the Anna Pardal Website: Doyenne Half Cup shown in Hibiscus

Anna Pardal Doyenne Half Cup

The Sabine bra has a red base, with black mesh lace overlay. There are light red/pinkish flowers on the material and the vertical seams are made of black stitching. Red bows at the straps and the gore (my pictures make them appear pinker than what they truly are), and black lace trim along the tops of the cups. The inside of the bra is lined with soft red cotton. This Long Line is so comfortable that I could sleep in it. There are 3 rows of 5 hook and eye closures, for the utmost comfort. It is exceptionally supportive, and beyond beautiful. So beautiful in fact, that I wish I could wear it on its own. It is the kind of bra that you want to show people. You want the detail and craftsmanship to be seen, not tucked away under clothes. Luckily, I have AEE to use as my platform 😉

I wish that I had every Anna Pardal style in a Long Line version. I am in love with half cups, and the combination of styles that you could order with just one fabric made for a number of different bras. After reading Anna’s Newsletter this morning, my first thought, ‘I hope she is ok”. My next, “I wish I had ordered everything.”

An Enhanced Experience wishes Anna Pardal a very fond farewell. We were very lucky to be able to interview Anna early on in our blogging careers. You can read that post here. Anna has a passion for her lingerie, and we hope all the best for her, her family, and her future endeavors. The world of Polish Lingerie lovers has lost a brilliant company today. If you ever decide to come back, we will be waiting for you.

Please feel free to show Anna how much she will be missed on her Facebook page, and ours.

Below, you can see some of our favorite pieces from Anna Pardal.

Ewa Michalak- Rose Mist

Rose Mist WM

We really need to talk about this bra. This gorgeous, sexy, sheer, blush colored bra. The Ewa Michalak Rose Mist. You won’t find it on the Ewa Michalak website. This is one of those special, you can only find it if you know where to look bras. Don’t worry, I will give you all the info 😉 I picked this beauty up from Brava Lingerie, out of Australia. Their customer service is top notch. They want their customers to be happy, regardless of the country they live in. Becky, my wonderful contact at Brava is so amazingly sweet, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Becky’s email is customerservice@bravawoman.com.au. The bras on their website do show in Australian sizing, but she can help you figure out the size that you need if you know your Ewa Michalak size. Feel free to stalk the website for your next purchase 😉

On to the bra!

This is the most beautiful shade of blush pink. It is an SM style, and the cups are made of a single layer of sheer mesh which offers amazing shape and support, as all Ewa Michalak SMs seem to manage.

20151127_231114 20151127_231644

What sold me on this bra? The seams. They are a delicate pink satin. In my size (80GG/14GG AUS) this is a 3 part cup. The seams do not show through clothing and provide a nice smooth shape. The top of the cups are adorned with pink lace and the same lace is stitched onto the straps which are fully adjustable.

There are pink satin bows at the gore and at the straps. Where the cups meet the straps, there are two layers of mesh for added support. There are 4 rows of 3 hook and eye closures. 20151127_230748        20151127_230823 20151127_230735

As far as Ewa Michalak bras go, you would think this bra is almost plain. There are no bold patterns, no contrasting colorways that make up a beautiful piece of artwork. But this bra is still very much stunning. It is sheer, subtle sexiness, and it deserves a place in your bra wardrobe.

Ewa Michalak’s New Autumn Collection- Letnia Noc

VZM.IMG_20151001_185835

I think it goes without saying that when my fellow AEE bloggers and I were given the opportunity to receive Ewa Michalak’s latest collection early, we were beyond ecstatic and grateful. I chose 4 of their new styles: Letnia Noc, Colette, Pantera (all S styles), and Klaudyna (CHP). I am in love with all of them, and am reviewing Letnia Noc first.

As usual, this bra is so much prettier in person. The floral print is a nice contrast of bright and deep, with pinks, whites, greys and greens on a navy base. The lace trim along the tops of the cups is a bright royal blue, and the straps have brillant blue ribbon stitched onto the navy base. There are pink bows at the straps and on the gore. It is a 3 hook and eye closure, and the cups are nice and smooth. The floral print extends around to the bands. The inside of the cups are white cotton with inserts for removable pads. I love that Ewa Michalak offers this option. Some days, you may want that extra bit of oomph, and others, you may want to play it down a bit. The removable pads also help with minor asymmetry that you may have, or during hormonal fluctuations.

The band is true to size for me: not too stretchy, and not too firm. In other words, it is perfection. The band curves upwards a bit at the gore allowing for extra comfort. The wires are comfortable, and do not dig in under the armpits, on my ribs, or at the top of the gore.

Before being introduced to Polish brands, my bras consisted of solid colors. No prints, no patterns. No adorable, gorgeous, decadent decorations at the gore; no little ribbons, bows or other extra pretty things. Now, I couldn’t imagine not having those things. With every new Polish bra I receive, there is always something to discover that you cannot see in the stock photos. This is not a bash on the stock photos at all. They give you a great idea of what the bra looks like, obviously. However, once you actually have it in your hot little hands, there is always something there that you couldn’t see in the stock photos. The attention to detail is never forgotten here. The way that the royal blue ribbon is stitched onto the straps, in a rippled/wavy way, is a wonderful example of this.
